Still Sick
I’ve been sick so all I have to report is A) I produce snot, B) I have vivid fever dreams and C) Being jumped on by a 35 pound kid makes me extremely grouchy.
Also, it is my six year anniversary! Happy anniversary, honey! I’ll try not to get my bodily fluids on you.
Wasn’t that romantic?
I’m still shook up about being eaten by an Amish crocodile this morning. I was just trying to save the blue turtle! Isn’t that the top priority when it’s the end of the world and you are hiding out in an Amish tree house?
Told you the dreams were vivid.
Before the fever set in yesterday we went to Bed, Bath and Beyond and picked up some curtains for the dining room. It’s so nice not to have the evening glare in our eyes as we try to eat dinner. It’s also nice to have a room that looks a little more finished. Since we had a coupon for 20% our whole purchase, we bought a piece of “art” for the living room and a set of round mirrors for our bedroom. Nothing kinky! It just seemed like a bargain to get the mirrors that could be arranged to cover as wide an area as the head of our bed. I am tired of living in a soulless house.
We also have a plan for the dining room! One of Mike’s co-workers is an awesome photographer. I’d link you to his flickr site, but I can’t remember it. Anyway, it turns out he is willing to give away prints of his work for just the cost of the printing. Can’t beat that! We’ll have to get frames, but it will be really nice to have some original photographs in our dining room.
Well.
Original and not of us. We have lots of original photos in our house, but they are just people snapshots.
One day I’m going to make some quilted wall hangings. I have no idea when that day will be. Currently I’ve told myself that I’m not allowed to do anything quilt related until I finish sewing the binding on Erik’s quilt (one side down!) and get curtains made for Erik’s room and the kitchen.
I also want to make a couple of blocks for the About.com quilting forum block lotto this month. I like the concept of a block lotto. You know going in it’s a gamble and you probably won’t win, but you just might get a set of blocks. Also, there is a hostess who sends sub par blocks back to the owners.
Still haven’t heard anything from my round robin team. Guess they are all done. I wish someone would send me my top back if that is the case. Maybe I should post to that effect. Wishes can’t come true if no one knows about them.

Happy Anniversary!
Sorry you’re sick. Stinks to be sick this time of year. Well, ok, any time of year actually.
