Fever, Fever

Blargh. Well, the pink eye went away but then a fever hit. We knew something was wrong when the child fell asleep at 4 pm. Two hours later and the fever was up to 101. Whoo-hooo!

He freaked us out by getting up in middle of his nap and running around in circles while still asleep. He somehow made it into the bathroom and peed, all while asleep. It was pretty weird.

I need to get out of this house! How much longer will I be under quarantine? Ugh.

In good news, I finally got started on my mom’s Mother’s Day photo book and it is now ordered. I don’t know why I was dragging my feet. It wasn’t exactly hard.

Oh.

Wait.

I know why I was dragging my feet. I was under stress from 10 different directions. Those stressors have all been settled so now I can do some of the things I’ve been meaning to do for months. Maybe I’ll even get to work on the Great LJ Cookbook again. We simply don’t have enough recipes to make a worth while book, but there are things I could do to get things going. Maybe that will be my next project.

ugh, i feel for you. We are on day 6 of fever and day 2 of 5 of quarantine for suspected mumps (which I highly doubt but I won’t be irresponsible. Or maybe I just wouldn’t want to try and remember every place we’ve we’ve been when the Dept of Public Health shows up on our doorstep).

This sucks. I thought kids weren’t supposed to get sick in the summer?
