Project Runway

Fashion Icon

Kisha says there haven’t been enough pictures of Erik lately. That’s because it is impossible to get a picture of him where three conditions are met:

A) His face is showing
B) His wiener is not showing
C) None of his little buddies are in the picture

Mostly, it is hard to get one of his face showing because he is Mister Contrary these days.

The above photo is as good as it gets, which is frightening. Is this what I’m going to have to send out on our Christmas cards? It looks like Blayne’s first entry on this season of Project Runway.

Speaking of which, I’m calling LeeAnne, Korto and Kenley (possibly Terri) as the final three. Any other takers? Not that there is any other competition. Can you imagine Blayne, Joe, or Suede in the top three? Jerrel might make it, but I doubt it.

I tried to start my dining room chair re-cover project today, but the electric drill was dead and had to be charged up. Each chair has TEN bolts. Yikes! I even went to Michael’s and got a big staple gun. Do you think a lightweight staple gun will work? It is the only one they had. It must be more sturdy than a regular office staple gun, don’t you think?

Instead of getting that done, I got angry at our stupid couch cushions for being so dirty and gross and took the covers off. I threw them in the wash and am hoping I won’t regret it in the morning when I can’t get them back on. Erik smeared tomato sauce all over them, the darling child. The tomato sauce and most of the other stains were gone when I threw them in the dryer, so at least they will be semi-clean even if they don’t fit on the cushions.

Please don’t make me cry, couch cushions. It’s wet enough around here thanks to Hannah. Man alive, how do people live in hurricane zones? We just got rain and it was awful, mainly because we couldn’t go outside and Mike had to go to work and Erik was on my very last nerve and he is very lucky I am such a patient and loving woman or he might be learning to dance to a gypsy beat right now. Or in a troll’s dinner pot. Either way.

Speaking of Mike and work, we have two very promising leads so keep your fingers crossed for us. Details later, when the dust settles.
