Still Sick
Man oh man, I haven’t had tummy problems like this in years. I slept by myself for the first time in years and enjoyed it, except for the hourly runs to the toilet. I don’t think Mike or Erik enjoyed it very well. Looks like we are working on another night of lonesome sleep for me.
I have no idea what I’m going to do tomorrow. I’m supposed to take Erik in for his two year check-up tomorrow, but I guess I’ll have to take the financial hit from not cancelling his appointment 24 hours in advance. Surely there must be some provision for the stomach flu. They don’t want me spreading the germs to all the newborns who go in and out of there.
Despite my illness, Mike has noticed that I’m a lot more patient with Erik. I think that’s one of the important reasons I need to visit my sister and her children every once in a while. I get so caught up in perfection that I fail to see that Erik is a really, really good little boy. I want everything to go exactly how I want it to go and get impatient when he doesn’t bow to my every whim. That was my problem with teaching as well. I wanted to be the boss and have everyone do exactly what I wanted them to do. If you’re in the profession I give you permission to go ahead and laugh your asses off now.
And that’s all I’ve got. I did manage to get some of my freelance work done, so that is a little less pressure on me. Btw, does anyone have any hints for search terms I could throw into Google images if I was looking for pictures that describe a chain of events, describe a process or give instructions/ directions?
On a birthday note, Jenn, thanks so much for the Wedgits! Erik totally loves them. He’s literally been playing with them for hours since we opened them the other day. Kisha, tell Eveyln thank you for Erik’s birthday card! They are off to a great start with their courtship!
Erik loves his Wedgits!
This has to be posted because it’s such a rare sight in our house. The boy, sleeping? It never happens with out a struggle! I think those Wedgits wore him out.

Flowchart?
Directions (or instructions)?
How to?
Sequence?
That’s all that comes to mind as guesses for search terms~ good luck

I do that with Peanut a lot. I have to remind myself that she’s only 3. I hate it too because my mom did it to me and we had a pretty terrible relationship growing up.
Searches – try looking for assembly or set up instructions, process documentation/flow charts… problem is, a lot of that sort of thing is proprietary/confidential and isn’t going to be online.

Hi, I found your site a little while ago and have got through all the info steadily. I thought should post my firstpost. Unsure of what to write but anyway. Nice blog. Will call back in a while to see what else you have to offer.
