Sprite and Saltines

I guess Erik wasn’t just having a bad reaction to flying.

I woke up this morning feeling very, very first trimester pregnant.

Only, my period just finished two days ago and there was no way it would work out in any date wise thingee.

I felt gross all morning, and even thought about going and getting a pregnancy test since it was so danged similar to morning sickness. We spent an hour or so at the Honda dealership, looking at Civic hybrids. Mike is ready to buy one. I have serious reservations. There simply isn’t enough room in the trunk to haul anything. Stroller, suitcases, a big box from Ikea? Where will we put it all?

It was kind of fun to walk out of there because the manager ran over to us and started offering us all kinds of incentives. I guess we’ll see what happens tomorrow.

I felt disgusting all through lunch, barely touching my long awaited Indian buffet lunch. I even ordered a sprite, which shocked the socks off our waitress. I never order anything other than water.

Got home, laid in bed while Mike took care of Erik, and finally thought I was getting better.

Then it hit full force. I’ve been running back and forth to the bathroom every five minutes, it feels like. No wonder poor Erik was screaming and yelling about it hurting when I had to clean up his messes last week.

Mike went and got Sprite, Saltines and Pepto. I’m doing a bit better, but I don’t feel like going through pictures and making a big Happy Birthday Erik post. Can you believe that boy is two years old today? I can’t!

We got him an ice cream cake yesterday and the thought of looking at it makes me sick. Bah!

Mike and Erik are off at an Oktoberfest party, so I have some free time. I am not able to concentrate on anything so I’m wasting this opportunity to get work done and work is totally kicking my butt. Instead, I’m watching the back log on the DVR. At least I found out I could delete all the Moonlight shows from the machine. Man oh man was that baaaaaad. I was looking forward to seeing Jason Dohring (Logan from Veronica Mars), but he did a terrible job. I know the boy can act, so I don’t know what’s wrong. Everyone did a horrible job and it was stupid.

That’s all I’ve got. I think I’m going to sleep in the guest room tonight.

Oh man do I ever feel ya. I hope you’re back to normal ASAP! Glad you could get a short break. Hope you can sleep.
It’s funny you mentioned feeling like you were pregnant. That’s how I felt initially, too, before my body made it clear that no, this is just the worst case of the flu you’ve ever had.
