Everything’s Ok

I’m alive and undecorated with Sharpie. I started trying to get Erik down for a nap as soon as I posted that and it took a good two hours, but I managed to stay awake for the whole thing. It was not easy, especially as my normal “putting Erik down” routine went out the window and I basically just laid in bed and tried to sing, but I kind of forgot how to sing and he wasn’t interested in sleeping. I was very interested in sleeping, but he kept french kissing me and jumping on my back and beeping my nose and patting my boobs while saying “booboo, booboo.”

We both went down around 3 and woke up around 6. Poor Mike is not going to have dinner waiting on the table when he gets home in five minutes.

The tooth is already flaring up again, so I took 3 Tylenol and hope that helps. The dentist didn’t actually give me anything for the tooth, but I have a stash of percocet and codeine from my c-section. I guess I’m not a drug addicted since they’ve been in the medicine cabinet for two years, untouched.

This dentist’s office is so much brighter and more modern than the other dentist! The difference is night and day. He had a mouth cam and a huge monitor to show the pictures. Teeth are gross. Really, really gross. He showed me the bad tooth along with my wisdom tooth that he says must come out. Everyone says the wisdom tooth must come out. I’ve gotta say, seeing it like that makes me want it to come out too. Nasty, nasty, nasty. It’s really hard to plan something that will be both inconvenient on a practical level and painful on a very personal level. I guess when I get back from Oregon I’ll get that figured out.

More later, maybe. Or maybe more tomorrow. We shall see. Mike just got home and is laughing at me. Do you think it could be because I slept on my sweaty post workout hair?

I hated hated hated having my wisdom teeth pulled/cut out. I also started eating hard foods earlier than I should and ended up with a lot of unnecessary pain. I never was good at following directions.

It’s good that you were undecorated by Sharpie. My children once decorated me with markers (washable, thank goodness) while I was sleeping and my husband was laughing and it was a nightmare to wake up to.
