Cancelled!
Just got a call from United–flight to DC cancelled! Whoo-hoo! We’ve been re-booked and will be taking a red-eye this evening, which is good for Erik and bad for us. Hopefully that flight won’t get cancelled. Maybe the “big storm” they keep talking about is actually a big storm. Usually when DC thinks it’s having a big storm they are having a few flakes. Wimps.
I’m watching CNN right now. I don’t think I want to go to a mall again. I think I’d rather hear endless speculation about Anna Nicole’s death than have a mall shooting take over the news.
Remember when I had that lump on my head removed? I’ve had one of those same lumps on my back for several years and it hasn’t been a worry. According to one doctor they are just full of lard (exact word used, which I think is funny since I’m not a pig). The dermatologist said they are actually full of keratin, the stuff hair is made of. I think the lump must be growing because now it feels like it is pressing down on my muscle and causing me to have a shoulder ache all the time. I don’t know if I’m just imagining the lump as the source of the problem and I really just have a sore shoulder or if I am right and a lump removal would help. I guess it’s off to the dermatologist for me when we get home. If we ever get home. I really want him to take a couple of these moles off my face too.
Btw, I’ve tried to e-mail a couple of you who left comments on the QoR blog, but my POP e-mails won’t go out since I am stealing internet from Charter instead of Comcast. So thanks everyone for the comments! I was glad to hear that it is not standard procedure to not baptise children according to parental marital status. I don’t understand that idea AT ALL. What does the state of the children’s soul have to do with the marital status of the parents? And Erik had a blast during the wedding ceremony because there was a nursery. We didn’t even try to bring him into the church because he was a total nut during the rehearsal. Laynee was supposed to be one of the flower girls and she refused, so she was in the nursery too. Braxton managed to come down the aisle and stand still for about three minutes, then he just ran up and down the aisles during the whole ceremony, which seemed to entertain people more than the actual wedding. Erin, thanks for letting me know what’s actually going on out there. I guess maybe we don’t have to worry about the weather for a little bit. I am not happy that we’ll be arriving just in time for rush hour traffic, though. We planned our trip with the skipping of rush hour in mind.
I think I am about chocolated out. There is still a ton of chocolate cake in the fridge, but I don’t even want a piece. I just want a big bowl of garlic hummus.

I hope you made it home safely! I hear that storm is suppose to be brutal!
Isn’t the news lately lovely? :(
I hope your head is OK!
