It’s a Digital World

There is no rest for the weary over here. I am compelled to get all the pictures edited, captioned, uploaded and ready for public consumption Right Now. I can’t stand having unshared photos. It’s an addiction or compulsion or something Not Good. I also seem compelled to use inappropriate capitalizations. Have you ever read any really old texts like Ben Franklin’s writings or whatnot and laughed at the strange scattering of capital letters and misspelled words? I suppose it isn’t nice to laugh at our forefathers, especially one who was obviously much more intelligent than me but now I can see the appealing of emphasizing things with Capital Letters.

Anyway, I come to you, Oh Internets, with a question. I’ve been using Winkflash for photos and see that they have a way to make photo books really easily. The prices seem reasonable so I’m going to make one for my mom. She is demanding a book from this trip just like the book from Erik’s birth (a print out of the LJ posts written when he was born) and that seems to be the easiest way to do it. Has anyone done this? Is there a better company? Cheaper company? I think I’m going with the smallest book that has 20 pages for around $13.

If you are dying for a preview of the pics you can check them at at my flickr page. I will eventually be posting a lot of them in the journal though.
