Crazy Baby

I don’t have much to say tonight, so I’ll leave you with a video of the crazy baby instead. He was feeling pretty feisty this evening so I tried to record his favorite activity–flinging himself backwards. It’s not easy to video him because he really wants the camera. I guess you get the idea, though.

I thought he was over his illness, but then I checked his temp before bed and it was back up. Guess we’ll have to see the ped tomorrow. Joy joy.

I think I may have to go to the ER tomorrow if I don’t die tonight. My ovary feels like it is about to burst open. I have always had ovary pain on my left side, but this is the worst I ever remember it being. It hurts just to touch the area. Mike thinks I’m exaggerating. Here’s our conversation about it:

Me: Make sure you check on me before you leave tomorrow morning. I’m probably going to die during the night from an ovary explosion.

Mike, giving me his “oh brother” look: Your ovary is not going to explode.

Me: It might!

Mike: No! That’s crazy.

Me: You’re not a doctor!

Mike: Neither are you.

Me: But I could have been!

Mike: Sure, you could have been. I’d like to see a doctor who tells patients they have liver babies*.

For the record, I would like it noted that it is possible to have a liver baby. It is highly, highly unlikely and extremely dangerous but it can happen. I looked it up. I watched “Vanishing Twins” on TV yesterday and if a seven year old boy can grow his own humanoid twin I can have an exploding ovary. That show was very disturbing, actually, and I would seriously avoid it if you are pregnant.

*It is so weird to read old entries from years ago. For the newcomers, the “liver baby” turned out to be gall stones. I never did finish the scarf I was talking about, and The Awakeners by Sheri S. Tepper turned out to be one of my favorite books ever.

That is SO cute! Man, *I’d* love to be able to throw myself back like that, it looks like so much fun. Unfortunately, it really wouldn’t be that cute if I did it.

    Thanks for sharing!

PS. I’ve been such a negligent commenter lately, boo to me!

Lol, Erik’s trick does look like fun!

And yep, I agree…with all the strange things that happen to people every day, you could have an ovary explosion. Not likely, but it could happen. lol, I watch those shows about mysterious medical conditions way too much.

Does Mike speak swedish with Erik?

My ovary exploded and bled all over my insides too!

Ok, so maybe I just had a cyst that ruptured and leaked a little blood but it sure FELT like it exploded. A few years later I had another cyst that had to be surgically removed. Needless to say, my ovaries and I aren’t the best of friends.

Gosh, I’m so reassuring aren’t I? I guess I just want to say that I feel for you and hope the pain goes away SOON!

He is indeed crazy. I didn’t think you’d post a video where he ran off the bed but I was a bit nervous!
