I may need to borrow the icepick. Offspring started talking at 8 months and it is an amazing gift to have a young baby who can tell you what is wrong. Babies understand words and want to communicate long before they can ever say words consistently. It saved us a lot of headache when she was able to sign that she wanted milk, food, help, or that she hurt. He might not act interested, but just keep at it. Ha, my kiddos know how but still don't want to speak in complete sentences! I hope you're ear gets better soon. And I'm with everyone else from the earlier comments (yeah, I know, I'm behind but it's been crazy busy and if I had time to read I didn't have time to comment) I think you should have some bloodwork done.
