Queen of Rambles

For being so smart, I sure have a way of being stupid. I tend to over complicate, over think, over analyze. I wake up at 3 in the morning and plot and plan and worry. Last night I was up for at least three hours worrying about the laptop/internet/monitor issue for my Oregon trip. I miss my sleeping pills.

In the end, I came to the solution that was obvious to everyone but me. I take the laptop. I download Netzero. I dial into my mom’s connection. Viola! Problem solved.

Also, we found a great deal on a flat panel monitor yesterday, so we bought it. We’ll ship our old monitor to my mom so she can have a computer. She needs a computer. How else can she keep up with the antics of her grandson? The phone? The phone doesn’t send pictures.

I guess that means I don’t need to come up with a stock of pre-written blog entries, but I’ve already got two in the bag. I want to post them now! I wrote them, so you need to read them because I am an instant gratification girl. Surely you need to know all about my anal-retentive food system habits. Kisha asked, so you can blame her. I guess I’ll hold the entries in reserve for a day when absolutely nothing happens.

Today one very weird thing happened. The chiro sent so many volts of electricity through my knee that I was scared he was going to turn me into a modern version of Frankenstein’s monster. I understand how lightening brought such a creature to life. My knee muscles were twitching and jumping of their own accord. I can’t believe I’m paying someone to electrocute me.

Julival has finished up her posts about her visit and I am shocked. Shocked I tell you! There are actually pictures of me that I like. In one of them I even look merely plump instead of obese. I need to get copies of a couple of them so MisterE will have pictures of his mother in his scrapbook. I tend to crop myself out of all the pictures since I hate looking at me so much.

Speaking of plumpness, Operation: Fat Banishment was not a roaring success this week. I did the same things I did last week, but had zero weight loss. I had zero weight gain so that’s a victory, but I was hoping for another 8 pound loss. I guess we can’t have everything.

I wasn’t going to bake this weekend, but Mike made puppy dog eyes and told me how nice it would be to have something a little sweet, so I ended up making a burnt chocolate chip coffee cake. It was kind of gross because I used whole wheat flour in place of half of the regular flour. I really wish I hadn’t eaten any of it because it kicked off my sugar cravings and now I want chocolate. Damn, damn, damn, damn. The next five days are going to suck as I re-acquaint my body with the idea of fruit instead of sugar. No more sweets for me until my trip to Oregon.
