Update on Carrie
Hi, I’m Julie. I just wanted to post a quick update for Carrie. I don’t really have much to report at this point, but I figured people would want to know something, even if it’s not much.
Carrie called me around 2:00 pm today (that’s eastern standard US) to tell me she was at the hospital with her mom and Mike and she sounded pretty calm, really. They have given her some sort of gel thing (I won’t go into the details – I’ll save that fun for her) that is supposed to get things going, but she had had it for about three hours when she called and nothing had happened yet.
She said that they told her they might just send her back home if nothing started happening by around 3 PM, so I asked her to call if they did send her home.
I haven’t heard anything else, since, so I’m assuming that things got going and they haven’t been sent home. I thought maybe there would be a post when I got home from work, but the absence of one just reinforces my belief that they are still at the hospital, busily inducing. Heck, for all I know, Thumper could be born by now!
I asked her if Mikey was reading and she laughed and said he was. Bad Mikey. He should be entertaining her!
I don’t know if I’ll be making further updates or not. You may have to wait for the other person, depending on when I hear from Mike. I leave the house at 7 AM tomorrow and won’t be back in front of a computer I can use for this purpose again until Friday night. Keep your fingers crossed that poor C doesn’t go all night!
