Queen of Rambles

As I said last night, I really didn’t take that many pictures on this trip. Then I had to weed out all the ones where the baby turned at the wrong time. It is hard to get an active 1 year old to cooperate for pictures!

These are the best of the bunch, if you are so inclined to see just what my insane family looks like. I’m putting it behind the extended entry cut so you poor souls on dial-up don’t get hi-jacked unless you are really desperate to look (8 pics that have been scaled down in size)

The one picture taken at my baby shower. Cute, yummy cake! I just got my haircut that day and didn’t really know what to do with it. I’m in the groove with it now. It is the shortest it has ever been. The back is basically shorn bald.

Braxton and my sister at the party, obviously. I thought his free little destruction cake would be tiny, but it was an 8 inch cake. It took him awhile to work his way through it. He wasn’t very interested in eating it–just squishing it in his hands.

See the shoe and shoehorn? Other than the dogs’ water dish, these are his favorite toys. My dad always grabs his shoes by hooking them with the crook of the shoehorn. Braxton can spend a loooooooong time trying to do the same thing.

My mom and her little baby. Doesn’t she look happy holding him? He brings her so much joy, even if he is the cause of that brace on her arm. She went to the doctor about her sore arm and he knew what was wrong with it right away and asked if she packed around a baby before she mentioned it. Something about an inflammed muscle.

Me and my nephew. I’m getting the HELL beat out of my boob with that bell in his hand. It’s not a good pic, but it’s the only one you are getting of my pregnant belly.

Another not very good picture, but it’s the only one we got with almost the whole family in it. That’s the crazy granny. My dad was taking the picture and didn’t want to make weird noises to get Braxton’s attention. We did several takes of it and this is the best one. Scary, huh?
