Mosaic Minds is live!
Just wanted to let you know that the latest issue of Mosaic Minds just went live a few minutes ago! I really think everyone should check out the prose section because there are a few impressive stories in there this time.
Also, I promised someone a long time ago that I would write an entry about how Mike and I met, but instead I ended up writing an article about it. It is not as detailed as it would have been if I wrote it here, but I do feel it is a better piece of writing. I actually proofread all my MM stuff a couple of times and everything goes through another editor as well.
Our next theme is Relativity, which is rather vague on purpose so that you can interpret it to fit your writing style (assuming you want to contribute. . . and you should!).
Other than that, it’s been a boring day around here. I’ve been working on my mom’s quilt, but then got a bug up my butt and decided to try my hand at making a circle type block (using a Drunkard’s Path pattern, but making a circle instead of a path). I didn’t get very far, but it was fun to work on something my style again. I just love sewing curves, which is rather bizarre considering how tricky they can be.
I have the biggest pimple in the history of the world protruding from my chin. I’m using it to type with as we speak, it’s so large. Or I would use it, if I wasn’t an expert touch typist (speed great, accuracy awful). One of these days I am going to wrestle Mike to the ground and force him to go through some kind of keyboarding class. He is a hunt-and-pecker and it drives me insane even though it shouldn’t. When we were living with my dad he always used to say he could tell when Mike started typing because he was so loud about it. That amuses me.
Our giant winter storm turned out to be a major sissy and barely dropped a layer of slush on the roads. I found out they are doing a make-up day for it on a day that was supposed to be a teacher work-day so if I work that day I guess I won’t be missing out on any money in the long run. I’m only supposed to work a half day tomorrow and am wondering if it will be a delayed start day as well. That would certainly make it a short, short day. I’m subbing at the high school again, so I hope the kids are nice. It’s a Health Occupations program so I am anticipating mainly girls. I realize that is a stereotype, but sometimes stereotypes come into existence for a reason.
Guess it’s time for bed now, unless I want to stay up and watch the end of True Lies. I can’t believe this used to be my favorite movie. How utterly ridiculous.

“Love at first LOL.” That made me smile. =)
And that article was far too quick! I want details!
