Quickie
Too amusing not to post: Bush’s e-mail. I found it completely randomly and at first was horrified that I could accidentally stumble upon someone’s e-mail, but a second glance had me in stitches.
I have actually been working pretty hard today, which is probably hard to believe. I’m too tired to go into details and they are so boring that no one would be interested anyway unless you really get off on tales of misplaced commas. Frankly, if that’s what gets you going I don’t know that I want to get to know you. Though I must admit I like a good grammar joke as much as the next person. I just hate people who are self-appointed grammar nazis and think that by telling someone they are using the wrong type of punctuation. Unless, of course, the person is doing it in a capacity where it is appreciated. Mean comments on blogs are generally not appreciated. Not that that’s happened to me. I just know that it has happened to others. And now I am so off track on such a boring subject that I might as well stick a needle through my eye.
Mike and I actually braved the shopping crowds this afternoon, which was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. We were in dire need of a water filter replacement. I can live for days on end without many products, but since moving here a water filter is not one of them. We found our way to a new Target (I LOVE Target) and bought all sorts of things.
I have a secret confession to make. This Christmas I fully intend on turning into a major Dork-o-ramus. I actually bought holiday themed printing paper and am planning on sending out a Christmas letter. I’ve never done that before. They have always seemed like they belonged to the realm of bored mothers with nothing better to do. It just feels like I need to reconnect with some of the relatives in my life and a Christmas letter is the first step in doing so. Our lives have changed so much since last Christmas. In fact, they have totally changed TWICE since last Christmas. First we moved from Sweden to my home town and lived with my alcoholic father. I worked a pretty bad job while Mike stayed at home and took care of the dogs and the drunk. Then we moved across the country to a city we knew next to nothing about and tried to pick up the pieces of our lives. Not that they were shattered or anything. Life is going very, very well for us
Hopefully I will be able to include an extra exciting tidbit at the end of the letter, but I still have to wait five days before I can even test for the exciting news. I just hope I am not setting myself up for another major disappointment. Why was I able to totally forget about it last month but am obsessed again this month? I guess I’m baby crazy.
Ok time for bed. We have to get up fairly early for our car’s doctor’s appointment. It’s been beeping at us about low coolant so we finally stopped procrastinating and set up an appointment. Now maybe Sal won’t leave us stranded by the side of the road with smoke coming out of his ears.

Oh, Christmas letters! I think I will try my hand at it this year, too. I also love Target…We have a super Target that is quite a hike from our house, but I love to go there. They have such fun stuff! As cheezy as this might sound, I love some of their framed art. I probably shouldn’t but I do!
