Queen of Rambles

The Good:

*I passed my daily writing goal at 10 am this morning! This book is going to be sooooooo much better than my book last year! If you are interested in reading it I might post it on my private writing site. Comment and leave your e-mail and I will send you the addy if I decide to post it.

*Good day at work. Teachers were friendly, kids were good. I didn’t have to even think about sending anyone to the office.

*I’m going to get to meet Heather this month!

*I had a message from a teacher I subbed for asking if I could sub again later this month! It was a great class and I am pleased to do it.

*This is quite possibly the least painful period I’ve ever had in my life. I haven’t even had to take a single Tylenol! A far cry from last month when I thought I would have to go to the ER.

*My laptop worked just fine ALL DAY!!!! Let’s throw a party!

The Bad:

*There’s nothing like watching the news and seeing your apartment building suddenly appear. A woman was raped in the trash room yesterday. I feel safe! About ten minutes later there was a knock on the door and a strange lady was standing there. I put the chain in and opened up a crack. She was embarrassed and on the wrong floor.

*I got a call from the Graduate Admissions office to inform me that I didn’t have a single reference letter on file! I was shocked because I know two people have sent them in. They sent me copies. I actually stood up for myself and made them look and they managed to find one of them within five minutes. I had the other guy send a fax in and he assures me he did it. I need three and requested them from four people. I can easily believe the other two flaked out, so now I have a non-flake sending a letter in for me. Now I’m scared. I hadn’t realized how much I was looking forward to this until I felt the bottom fall out when I got the call that my file was incomplete.

*A good friend got some extremely bad news last night and I just want to go and hug her, but obviously can’t since we live so far apart.
