In Brief

  • Even though I had important things to be doing, I did BLOCK 19 instead. We really need to get cable in the sewing room. I’m watching Mike’s Babylon 5 DVDs. I kind of like it, but some of it just makes me wonder what the writers were thinking.
  • I called the hospital and my Granny seems to be doing just fine. My mom, on the other hand, is a complete nut. Apparently she’s left me several messages today and kept wondering why I didn’t call back. Maybe because she was calling the wrong number? Why yes, yes she was. Then she told me to tell Mike to hurry up with his project. I was so sweet and innocent that I couldn’t figure out what the project was. Many, many ewwwwwwwwwwws were said when I realized my MOTHER wanted me to tell my husband to hurry up and impregnate me. She is not supposed to think of me in such a way.
  • I know I bought Season 2 of Friends when we were in Oregon. They had it on sale at Fred Meyer so I bought it and put it in my underwear drawer so Mike wouldn’t see it. So where is it now? That’s the burning question. Why didn’t I want Mike to see it? I don’t really know. And it’s not like he never looks in my underwear drawer anyway. When we were living in Oregon he did all the laundry since I was the working woman.
  • I made good sandwiches for dinner tonight. Fresh French bread slices with herb cream cheese, rotisserie chicken, watercress, bacon and provolone cheese, baked in the oven till the cheese melted. Yum! We’ll have to do that again sometime (which is really the only reason I’m typing it out).
  • I signed us up for a ghost tour of our town near Halloween time! Now, let’s hope I don’t get too scared. Ghosts and aliens freak me completely out. Unsolved Mysteries used to give me horrible nightmares. I finally wised up and stopped watching it. A ghost tour should be fun though, right? I love learning about history type things. Actually, at my college there were lots of rumors about ghosts living in the library (an old mansion with a sordid history). I liked to study there, but after a couple of hours I would get so freaked out by the thought of a ghost getting me that I would have to leave.
  • I thought this was supposed to be brief?
