Queen of Rambles

Just a quick entry to say we are almost out of here! We are going to leave for the airport in about an hour, so I guess I really should take a shower within the next few minutes. Though I have learned that I am much faster than I used to be–the other day I suddenly realized I was going to be late for my bra fitting appointment and managed to get completely ready in 14 minutes. Short hair is amazing.

So what’s the big delay? I didn’t get much sleep last night because my feet were cold. If you know me you are probably laughing. My feet are usually on fire. They never get cold. I don’t know what the deal was. I had to get up kind of early so I would look presentable for the gal who was picking up the bed. She seemed grateful for it, so I’m glad the bed has found a good home.

Of course, before I left I had to do my block of the day. I am getting obsessed and am loving all the comments I am getting on them (but please don’t feel like you need to comment on all of them. I know it can get tedious after a while!) A couple of people have asked if I am going to put them all up in one place, so I guess it’s time I think about making a dedicated quilt blog. Hopefully it won’t go the way of my sadly neglected photo, recipe and reading blogs. I’ll see what I can come up with when I get back from Ohio. Anyway, here is BLOCK EIGHT. It is actually the first one that has been very wonky and not flat. I will have to re-sew one of the seams when I get back, but I wanted to post it anyway b/c I really like it.

And now it is time to run! I don’t think I’ll be updating while I am gone, but you never know. Obviously the great Julie and Jeff have Internet or we wouldn’t even know them.
