This, That and the Other

This entry wouldn’t be complete without the daily block, so here’s block six. Only 24 to go.

I woke up this morning and found the kitchen absolutely crawling with cockroaches. I couldn’t understand how it had happened. I have been meticulous with the kitchen cleaning!

Then I woke up.

Scared you, didn’t I? I don’t even know what a cockroach looks like and hope to never find out. I’m much more scared of a cockroach invasion than being murdered in my sleep (things that happen in Big Cities).

I should not have stayed up till 1:30 last night. Stupid, stupid, stupid! I heard Mike rummaging around at 6:30 and couldn’t believe his maneuver had taken that long, but he finally made it clear that he had been in bed sleeping for the past three hours. That’s why I love our king sized bed. We hardly disturb each other at all, especially since we have our own bedding in the Swedish style. Honestly I think the hardest adjustment to couple hood for me was sharing sleeping space. Cuddling and snuggling is fine for a while, but when it’s time to sleep I need my space.

I wore my missile bra today and kept laughing myself silly at the image. My boobs were really pointy. I felt like I was about to launch a nuclear weapon at everyone in my path. I haven’t been that perky since fourth grade.

You know what I want to do? I want to randomly meet a blogger that I’m familiar with and have us recognize each other and start chatting it up. I don’t think it’s going to happen because I have no idea what any DC area bloggers look like even though I read a few. They do have blog meet ups on occasion here but I’m not sure how to find out when and where and I’m also not sure if I would fit in. I always feel like such a fraud. Maybe that’s why I write so much. I want to be a “real” blogger and not a fake. That may very well be the stupidest thing I’ve ever written considering how much I write, but I guess I’m just a complete dork sometimes. At least I recognize that.

Our car is still in the shop. Why why why do you take a car apart when you don’t have the magic bolt that will put it all together again? They were supposed to have ordered this part when we bought the car and fix us up the next week. No dice. Then they were supposed to order it again but again no dice. I guess this time someone got a little overzealous and just took it all apart before he knew if he had the part or not. I don’t know what the story is, really, because the guys who work in the service department are not exactly the most clear and concise communicators ever born. I don’t think they paid much attention in English class and certainly not in the speech section where they learned how to enunciate. At any rate, it looks like we’ll have a rental until Monday which doesn’t suck as bad as it could since we won’t even be here this weekend. It mainly sucks because I’m not listed as one of the drivers. I’m sure that could be changed, but I don’t know how much trouble that would be. That means I won’t be running around spending money tomorrow so I guess it’s just as well.

what makes you such an awesome blogger is you are so real — so NOT a fraud. (see www.thisfish.com — august 24th entry)

Are you trying to go retro with those bullet bras? LOL! You made me think of those movies from the 50’s where the women’s boobs are shaped like torpedos!

    BTW, your blocks are beautiful!

    Wasn’t JournalCon just in DC?
