Animal Rant
I am about ready to drop kick my silly dogs! Of course, I would never actually do that, but they are driving me out of my mind. I had been getting them T-Bonz and they loved them. The cheapo outlet grocery store ran out of them, so it was off to Wal-Mart to see what cheap stuff I could find (dog treats can get very expensive!). I found the Wal-Mart brand of “Beggin’ Strips” and decided that was my best buy.
Mistake! Mistake! Mistake!
The name should have been the first clue. They should put a big warning label above the beggin’ part of the name, because the begging has commenced. Oh Lord, how it has commenced. I can’t get a second’s peace around here. Bonkers sits at my feet and whines and whines and whines and whines until I finally give in. If I was a good mommy I would send her to her room or something, but she’s a dog so she can’t be reasoned with. I understand cravings so I like to give them good stuff, but sheesh! She could probably eat ten packages in a row and still keep begging!
Then we have the cat.
The wonderful, oh-so-agile cat who illustrates precisely why the phrase “curiosity killed the cat” is such a wonderfully accurate idiom. I looked over at the window and saw the dear beastie going vertical up the curtain. Before I had time to do much beyond crinkle my eyebrows and think “uh-oh,” the whole window dressing fell on top of her and she landed in a very stunned and confused heap.
Don’t you love it when people post about their animals?
And now I’m going to go make some cookies to take up to my dad’s friend. I just feel so bad for him after loosing his wife in such an unexpected way. Hopefully the cookies make it to him and don’t all land in my belly (chocolate revel bars, in case you are wondering).

You will like Washington DC. It’s expensive, but it’s a very friendly and attractive city.
