Stricken
Ughhhhhhhh. . . . I have a cold *whine whine whine*. I forgot to stock up on cold medication while I was in the US (darned wedding made me forget about the important things in life) so I have nothing to help me fight off the snot monsters. I don’t even have any ibprofun and the pharmacy is closed because it’s Sunday. I hate this country. Don’t they realize that germs don’t give a rat’s ass about the day of the week? Don’t they care that I have a cold? The answer is a resounding no.
I was just looking up TV shows and came across Everwood, which is probably my current favorite show. Here’s the question though. What kind of person names their child Treat? Maybe it’s just a nickname or something, but really, what kind of name is Treat? It’s a stupid kind of name, that’s what. I just told Mike if we have a child we’re going to name it Chocolate. That makes about as much sense at Treat. If it’s a girl we can call her Cocoa, right? Except I had a student named Cocoa and she was a complete ditz. She was nice though. I had a horrible nightmare that the only way we could move to the US was if I took my old teaching job back. It was horrible. Mike was named George in the dream, so that was odd too. The only good thing was that we were planning a trip to the Tillamook cheese factory and I was going to get to eat some squeaky cheese (curds). I need some good cheese. And a DayQuil. And an Advil. And some sleep.

Ooh, I am sooo sorry! My friend was over in Stockholm visiting once, and she had the same problem! Hope you feel better soon…

Cold’s are no fun. If it makes you feel any better, its pretty rainy here today. Actually, on the weather map there is a big front running from the gulf of mexico up to boston. All along it there is rain rain rain. Its sorta moving in an arc up the country and then finally to Boston.
So after the trip to Stockholm, then what? What’s the timeline and plan looking like for your return to the states?
