New Career

Yesterday I was sitting around thinking and came up with the perfect business plan.

When we move back to the US I’m going to open a hip and funky art gallery that contains blown glass, carved candles, cool photographs and whatever else I find that meets my “I like” standard.

There will be a little cafe that serves several flavors of cheesecake, all of which I home bake with love and care. I might serve other things too, but I really want to make this a funky cool cheesecake cafe.

And here’s the really cool part: everyone who works there will be required to ride around on a unicycle.

Don’t you think that would be the coolest, funkiest art gallery in the world? Wouldn’t people flock to see me and my staff serving them cheesecake while riding a unicycle? I think I’m brilliant. Mike thinks I’m beyond weird. I’m not feeling a lot of support here.

Other business:

Thank you to all who expressed sympathy and advice for my fish phobia. I probably should do some sort of therapy but I figure they would eventually make me go swimming in a river and the very idea panics me. Maybe some day I’ll have to seek professional help but for the moment I’m ok with being a freak. I don’t mind you laughing at me about it. I know it’s a bizarre thing and know I’m a freak so I figure I better blog about it and get a few laughs. I’m just glad I can make people laugh.

Interesting. They just showed an Arnie campaign ad on Euronews. I thought he spoke with less of an accent, but maybe it’s just that he rarely talks in his movies. I think I would vote for him. I like the fact that he’s rich enough that he doesn’t have to take dirty money and be indebted to big business. Of course, I know nothing about the politics of CA so I’m talking out of my butt.

And finally, I just want you all to know that the vanilla flavored diet shake tastes very similar to cake dough. I think drinking this stuff is effecting my taste buds. It actually has very little sugar but since I’m not eating any sugar at all it is starting to grow on me. Last night I thought our mango sauce was almost too sweet (2 dl sour cream, 2 T. mango chutney). My taste buds are sure changing. So is my body. I need to take Helene’s advice and take some measurements. I did it before but I can’t find the chart I wrote them on so that makes it hard to compare. I do know I am losing inches because lately the only pair of pants that fit is a pair that was too small when I bought them. I had a pair of blue jeans that I loved so I bought a pair of black jeans in the same size and style without trying them on and they were way too tight to wear. Now they are the only pants I wear when I go out since they are the only ones that don’t bag off my butt. Yay!

Since this is a topic of worldwide interest I’ll post it here – I’ve heard that Arnold’s accent in his early films got so popular that he had to keep talking that way in later films even though he had put a lot of effort into removing his accent. I don’t know if it’s true, but it struck me as funny.

A unicycle?!! Oh, I’d definitely come to see that. I’d come without the unicycling employees.
