The aliens are coming!

I have no idea how to “track back” someone, but if it involves putting the URL in my URLs to Ping box then maybe I’m doing it right. At any rate, I finally figured out what the whole function is for even if I can’t figure out how to work it. So without further ado, let me start the whole process of referring to what someone else has written:

Buzz-a-roni put forth the theory that the big New York black out was caused by aliens. I don’t quite believe in aliens but I don’t quite disbelieve it either. The theory that they are sucking up power from earth and causing a big black out is pretty far fetched (wouldn’t they have their own power sources?) but I think she’s actually on to something.

Why would I buy into such a strange theory?

Because I saw an alien spacecraft hovering over Kiruna last night. Annica called (I really hope I’m not her new phone buddy, but it’s not looking good for me) so I was sitting there staring out the window and muttering “yeah, yeah, sure, of course, yeah, yeah) when I noticed a strange, bright yellow mushroom shaped light up in the clouds. I looked around, trying to figure out if the sun was playing some sort of trick but I couldn’t see any other spots of bright yellow. It sort of freaked me out in the way that I get freaked out (I’m weird–I get freaked out but I know I’m being ridiculous so the freak out is more like a game) but that was it. Then it started moving. A big piece kind of detached itself from the side and went under the main piece and then “snapped on.” I think I forgot to keep up with my “yeah, yeah, sures” on the phone. Then the whole thing just disappeared really fast. Bizarre. I’ve never seen anything like it, so it must have been an alien ship.

Of course, the power outage was in New York so what would the ship be doing hovering over northern Sweden? I don’t know, but it was here! I’ve always thought the big advantage of living in Kiruna was that it was unlikely to hold any interest to aliens. Why would they come to this desolate, cold, thinly populated area when they could be in Las Angeles enslaving millions of people while enjoying the added benefits of sun, surf and Disneyland? Do you think those rides would be safe for an alien? I guess it totally depends on their body structure.

So that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Should I mention the little hen night Annica and I had last night? Probably not. It was pretty boring over all. We watched a Swedish movie (Adam och Eva) and I actually understood it pretty well so that was cool. I also learned that Annica’s former best friend (she moved about a month before I arrived and is supposed to visit next week) is a midget (sorry, but I don’t know the PC term). I find it surprising that I’ve known Annica for two years and yet I never knew she was best friends with a little person (is that the right term?). It doesn’t matter in the slightest and I guess that’s why she never said anything about it but it just seems like the kind of thing I need to know.

And now it’s noon so I really must go and take a shower. Then we are going to go on a huge million mile hike so I can work off all the sugar I’ve eaten this week. I think I’ve eaten more sugar this week than I have during the whole rest of the year. That sentence seems incredibly awkward but at this moment I don’t have the will power to fix it. I is tired.

You are not alone! I saw a UFO, but it wasn’t during the power outage! It was last year (was there a power outage last year? Maybe there is a connection! LOL!)
